What it involves

Guided progression in the undeveloped parts: narrow passages, drops, decorated chambers and, for the most experienced, rope descents towards the rimstone gallery.

Caving is only done with a qualified, equipped leader, in a small group.

First steps underground, beyond the path, without rope techniques.

Narrow passages and rigged drops, for people in good shape.

Expedition

Rope descents into the depths, for experienced cavers.

Equipment

Helmet, headlamp, overalls and, depending on the level, harness and rope-progression gear are provided.

Who is it for?

Healthy people without claustrophobia. Minimum age and conditions are given in the quote.

The depths

Around −236 m, a long, almost horizontal gallery dotted with rimstone pools; at its end, two sumps and a last shaft lead to the bottom, at −271 m.
